I'm a little confused and hope someone can help me out with an iCloud question. I'm using iOS 5 Beta 7 and I have OS X Lion. Previously I used MobileMe and when I added a contact or calendar appointment for example on my iPhone it would add the same info almost instantly on my MacBook and on the MobileMe website which was Amazing. What happens in iCloud does it only backup at night when plugged into a power source and the phone is not in use? If this is the case it isn't as efficient as MobileMe? I'm hoping it will be the same but I need someone who's used iCloud to confirm this for me.

Many Thanks

In order for things to sync on your MacBook install the required software, iCloud for OS X Lion beta 10

It works as described when you install the correct software as instructed.

You can manually back up your data by pressing the "backup now" button, but it is not the same as the sync.

hmmmmm i can't seem to install the updates even with following the instructions? i've tried the reversioner first but it won't install either?

What error does it give?
What are you currently running 10.7.2 or 10.7.1?

At present i'm running 10.7.1

I'll try the install again and tell you the error messages

EDIT:

Mac OS X Reversioner can't be installed on this disk. The volume must contain Mac OS X version 10.7.2 11C48

Mac OS X Update Combined can't be installed on this disk. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update.

I've added the error messages to my post above

Thanks for all your help

Try just installing the update.
From the seed note,
The OS X Lion 10.7.2 Update (Combo) updates
- OS X Lion 10.7 or 10.7.1 GM builds.
- Any earlier seed of OS X Lion 10.7.2 ONLY AFTER installing the included reversioner.
IMPT: If you installed a previous seed of OS X Lion 10.7.2, please run the enclosed Reversioner.pkg, do not restart but install the update immediately after.
Since you are running 10.7.1, do not run the Reversioner.pkg since you are not running 10.7.2

Ah just figured out tonight why I couldn't install to 10.7.2 it's because I have Lion Server

I got a workaround to get it installed thankfully.
