iCloud Question

Seeing how there is not an iCloud topic thread(I think there should be), I have a question for the people who use iCloud for email and backing up device(s).

How is the free amount of space (5GB) holding up for you? Assuming you use it pretty decent.

I find it OK for everything except backups.
Originally I had it set to store backups from my phone and iPad, but it just couldn't handle it.
