iCloud servers down this evening, why green?

I have multiple copies of identical photos in Mojave Photo app. I cannot send iMessages to family members. Yet the Apple system signals ARE ALL GREEN at 10-30-2018, 5:40 PM Central.

iMessage seems to be working for me. Not hugely helpful I know as it may be affecting just a few people.

Can you run through some troubleshooting for me — send a message to yourself, try sending from different devices, etc. Any luck?

I called Apple Tech Support, the tech said it wasn’t me or my devices. She said they were advised that iCloud was down and being worked on. So I checked the Apple Up page on web. All green.


7:00 PM only iCloud Mail is showing yellow

Those status pages are notoriously slow to update. Try using something like downdetector.com

Ok. Thanks for tip. I still have Multiple copies of photos from yesterday’s iCloud brain fart. And I’m paying for iCloud backup. Man.
