Ok....I did some testing and I have had this issue with my iPhone 5 since I've had it when they first came out. I have the iPhone 5, a iPad 1st gen and a Macbook Pro.

If I add a contact to the iPad or Macbook, it goes to each of the devices I didn't add it to.

If I add a contact TO my iPhone, it doesn't go to any other device.

If I DELETE a contact from my iPhone, it WILL delete on the other devices.

So adding doesn't work, but deleting does???

I have an appt. tomorrow at my local Apple store for my power button not working right. Plus I have to reboot the phone a lot to reset communications with certain apps. or to reset service because it says NO SERVICE a lot until I reboot the phone. I have asked about the iCloud issue before and no one can figure it out. At this point I am hoping I just get a replacement
