I thought iCloud sounded great but then they started talking about wireless syncing with iTunes which kinda confuses me...

I thought the idea of iCloud is that we would no longer need to sync with iTunes at all?

Don't purchased songs/apps etc. automatically get pulled across to your Mac/PC and/or iDevice by iCloud anyway or am I mistaken?

If so I think iCloud is perhaps not all that big a deal as I thought.

Device backups are not synced to iCloud. Loading on non-iTunes music to your device still requires you to sync with your computer.

OK that makes sense, although what about iTunes Match doesn't it do something like this or would you still require syncing?

Also one more question regarding Match - it says that any files will be loaded as 256k AACs which is fine, but I have the option ticked in iTunes to convert any music to 128kbps AAC when loaded onto my iPhone so that I can fit more on - anyone know if iCloud has a similar option?
