This is covered in the release notes. iOS 8 iCloud data is kept separate from iOS 7 iCloud data and will be deleted later.

Where did you read that it would be deleted? I was hoping to move everything from dropbox to icloud before release.

"iCloud Documents & Data created with iOS 8 Beta will be deleted from the servers at some point during the beta period. Information downloaded and not evicted from the device will remain on device and will re-sync after the data wipe occurs."

When you say "I was hoping to move everything from dropbox", it infers all files.

Not saying that I don't believe you but I have looked all over the IOS Dev site and cant find this. Where are you getting this from? But the good news I guess is that if this is true then after a wipe the data will re-sync with devices. Actually I hope that this is the case because on re-sync my data will simply re-populate.

Are you the actual development account holder?

I've got I think 65GB or something showing up in my iCloud right now after the Dev bump.

Definitely planning on moving everything over to iCloud.

The Beta isn't for the faint of heart though

Yes I am. As devs we get 50 gb plus the 5 gb that comes for free. 55 total.
