Hi all,
I’m using iOS 5 and I’m slightly annoyed by the sync behaviour from time to time.
Assuming, I’m on an airplane (no internet) and I’m reading an iBook on my iPad. Now, I set a bookmark, close the app and do something else. Then, later, I’m sitting somewhere, not having the iPad with me. Instead, I want to continue reading the book on my iPhone. The bookmark I set, however, isn’t on my iPhone yet – even though the iPad has been online in the meantime, just not with iBooks opened.
The same problem with iWork documents and other stuff.
Wouldn’t it make sense to have a single iCloud service that syncs all the data of all apps (Apple or non-Apple) as soon as there’s internet connection, no matter if the apps are open or not? Am I doing something wrong on iOS 5 or is this issue addressed in iOS 6 in some way? Or do I still have to open every single app to have their data synced?
Thanks for reading.
