iClould, notes, problems

Hi,

I have mountain lion and iphone 5. I have iCloud set up and it appeared working fine for a while. However, i can add, edit and delete notes on my mac and have them auto sync with my iphone 5, but when i do it the other way, nothing deletes, edits or us even created.

any suggestions (I have iCloud notes turned to on)
