Ok, so I found iComment as a nice way of adding commenting to my iWeb blog page - take a look on versiontracker, or google for more details, but it basically integrates a Haloscan page into each blog entry.

However for the 'Comments (0)' bit to update you must reupload from iComment on your mac.

So i have two questions -

a) Does anyone know of a better option than iComment? Preferably one that allows me to fully integrate with iWeb

or

b) Can anyone create me a workflow/script/something to run iComment every say, 5 minutes, to keep my comment numbers showing right. (Probably make more sense if you've used iComment)

at a push -

c) A good, ad free, simple, free, blogging solution that I can link to from iWeb.

Any help hugely appreciated as I'm trying to find a good way of allowing my students to add to my blog as a VLE (Virtual Learning Environment)
