How do I create a correct .icns icon with the developer app called Icon Composer? (the one that's included with OS X).

Whenever I create an icon and save it as an .icns, the little preview image on my desktop has a white background, but when I quick look it, the background is transparent again.

I'm simply trying to right click > get info on the icon so that I could copy the image in the top left corner of the get info window to replace the icon of another app in the get info window.

Not sure if this questions is best suited for the developer or design board, so I just posted it here instead.

Thanks!

Nevermind, all I did was drag the .icns created by Icon Composer into Candy Bar, and dragged it back out, and the icon was just how I wanted it.
