Icon for website

I've been making a couple icons on the iPhone display as links to a web page. They work fine except they turn white after I use them once or twice. How do I keep the little images?

I have this same question. I created a homepage shortcut to a website and it looks just like that. Plain white square. Would be really cool if you could chose an icon for it or something.
