I found a great set of icons, vinylTunes for iTunes. I later realised they are in .png format, so i used FastICNS to convert them to icns format.

Before i converted them, the icons had the image on a white background, and this is the icon i have for iTunes now. I converted the image, copied the new icon with transparency to iTunes, but the icon with the white background remains. I deleted the changed icon from iTunes, and it appears to have the original icon back in the Get Info pane, but it still shows the icon with the white background as the app icon in Finder.

I've tried removing the preference file, repairing permissions, logging out, restarting, but nothing seems to do anything. Anyone got any ideas?

EDIT: just fixed it myself! i re-converted the file in FastICNS, copied the icon it iTunes, dragged the old iTunes out of the dock and the new one in, and the icon is fixed... weird, because i tried this a few days ago.
