anyone else finding that iconoclasm is causing a lot of crashes? every time I try to move an app across screen or even out of a folder, sb crashes.

Yeah. I'm having that problem too with Iconoclasm 1.8.1. I suspect that it's doing that when you are moving the icon from a folder to page that is full. (I have a home page that uses a 4 icon layout.)

The workaround for me was to use Iconoclasm Layout Maker and modify my custom 4 icon layout to one that had more icon positions (I did a total of 16 positions...that should be enough). That way, dragging the icon out would at least prevent the Springboard from crashing.

I've Email'd the author. I think he said he's out of country at the moment and won't be able to check on the problem till early March.

Even with the bug, I'm planning to keep Iconoclasm unless some other catastrophic incompatibility or problem is found. There's no other way to bump icons around with a 1 pixel resolution. Besides, it works with FolderEnhancer so I have a 4 icon layout on the home page, and a 4x5 icon layout in the folders (which looks great/uncluttered with Shrink set to scale icons to 95%).

There were a few posts that there are issues with FolderEnhancer. I don't use FolderEnhancer and I don't install a lot of apps on my 64gb iPhone 5, so I don't have any full folders... but I still keep my home screen pages to 2 pages or less. I haven't had any issues with iconoclasm. Had iconoclasm since the JB came out, and haven't had a single SB crash.

hmm, ok, thanks for your input. it seems to do the same on both my iphone 5 and ipad, but it creates more problems on the iphone (groups a bunch of icons/folders on top of each other) than the ipad so i've turned it off for the moment. hopefully the dev will update it sometime.

Temporary Solution

Here's a quick work around. Take the icon you desire to move and place this in your dock. Navigate to the window you would like to place the icon and transfer this from your dock to your window. :D
