This is really puzzling me, and loads of searching the net, Apple and here have not found a solution.
When I open a new finder window, the Icons down the left side - Desktop, Home, Applications, Documents, Music etc have all changed to a plain folder Icon - actually Applications is the 'A' icon made from 2 pencils and a ruler.
I am sure this is nothing to exactly worry about, but it is annoying me, and I can't be sure it is not the start of more problems.
I havent changed anything specific that may affect it apart from install Macromedia Contribute today - but I doubt that would cause this problem. I did a system restore earlier this week - back-up and install or whatever it's called - as Panther was running sluggishly, and I took the opportunity to delete loads of rubbish, so if anything this shouls have happened then rather than now.
There is nothing wrong with my desktop Icons - I know there are problems when you can't drag and drop or open them, but this is different. Everything works, I just don't have the right Icons!
