Hi, I've been using my Macbook Pro for a while and for some reason, almost all of my icons for my applications have disappeared. I've attached a picture to show the problem, which includes Apple applications and other software companies. Help would be much appreciated!

Have you tried repairing permissions via Disk Utility?
What Mac and Mac OS X version do you use?
What have you done before the icon disappeared?
Has a restart or changing of views (CMD+1, CMD+2, ...) changed anything?

Sometimes, something as simple as relaunching the Finder will solve this problem. To do that, open the Force Quit dialog, select Finder, and click Relaunch.
