This is happening more often than I like to admitt.

Some times, if I click an icon (usually on my desktop) it'll just "stick" to the mouse pointer, it'll appear as if I am still clicking and holding the icon, and it drags around. I also can't trash, drop or do anything with it. Other programs on the computer can't be used either because it's still using that icon. I'm forced to use keyboard commands to restart Finder or press the "esc" key... which works until I click any other icon again.

This happens with text and pictures also...

Help please...

try this:

Go here: HD/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences this file com.apple.finder.plist
Move that to your Desktop.
Restart. That makes a new default plist file in Preferences.
If that fixes it, you can Trash the file you put on the Desktop.

If not, you can try the same thing with this file com.apple.systemuiserver.plist
("ui" stands for User Interface)

Well, I've done that and the error keeps happening...

It always has something to do with VmWare Fusion...

Any others ideas?

Thanks in advance

Look in the same folder as before (see above) and find one with VmWare Fusion in the name. It will be the same format: com.(insert developer name).(insert program name).plist
