Icons of new downloaded items not showing?

Hi there, well this just started fairly and I really have no idea why, basically when I download a new app like powder game or desmemu for example, the icons will not show, it shows that sort of "paper with the pencil and ruler ect that makes a 'A' mark at the bottom right" icon :/

Is there a way to fix this? I rebuilt the cache and stuff and it didn't fix it.

Hi, I am very new to mac, I just got my first mac this week... I have the same problem as you described... I noticed that when I drag the icon out of the apps folder and into my dock, the icon appears. I don;t know why this happens, and I could see it becoming an issue in the future, as I won't want every icon in the dock. The icon also remains if I drag the icon to the desktop.

Maybe someone else can help us?

Once you launch the app for the first time, it should fix itself.
