Hello,
I newly installed leopard on my Mac Pro
the problem is that there are no icons on the menu bar. (top right)
no airport, no volume icon and no language selector icon...

I tried Preference -> Sound -> Show Volume in Menu Bar, but it didn't work..

I need your help!

Thanks.

Same issue

I am having the exact same issue.

The other things I noticed, is that under the Apple Menu, I can not pull up "About this Mac", Force Quit, restart, shutdown and standby do not work.

Also, when I open System Preferences, I get a beachball.

Often times, I can boot into safemode (which everything is fully functional and I get all menu items) and then reboot and it seems to work.

I have a case open with Apple Care and it has been raised to development engineering because they are clueless as to what the issue could be. It takes up to a week for an engineer to get back to someone, SUCK!, but I will update you with what I find out.

My Macbook Pro is 2 years old...and it just randomly happend, and now even with a FRESH install, it happens. I think there is a bug with one of the updates!
