Icons randomly disappear

Dock icons randomly disappear as well as finder icons and files within folders do not show up either. anyone else have this happen? a reboot usually fixes it

i already filed a bug report to apple and they switched it to "serious bug" and asked for more information.

please note that this already happened before i customized the icons

I've never seen this. I wonder if it only occurs when the dock is on the side?

it seems to be an issue with the Finder i think.

whenever those icons disappear i cannot see any files within a folder like if i open "documents" theres nothing inside and i cannot see screenshots i take on the desktop either and when i try to copy paste something finder freezes. when i plug in an external drive it doesnt get mounted.

when i reboot those screenshots are right there on my desktop and the files within my folders are back as well as the icons. its very strange and i cannot seem to find the pattern of when it does happen.

Does just restating Finder fix it.

Option + right click finder in the dock to get a relaunch option.

Icons randomly disappear

I'm having the same issue. I tried to relaunch Finder, but it didn't help.

Same here with launchpad icons and if I use any of the apps from launchpad that is invisible then it's invisible in dock too
