So I came on my computer today and I noticed my .mov files are having dyslexia. My .mov files now have the Apple help icon on them. .mpeg files still have the quicktime icon. When I click on a .mov file, quicktime still opens and plays the file. I've repaired permissions but it still is like this. What's the problemo?

my ex told me that she was having a similar problem yesterday, i guess a random picture of me nonetheless decided to be all of her movie file icons randomly

i do not know of a fix for this as of right now, hopefully someone does

have you tried a restart? log out-in? checked another user?

A complete restart or force-quitting Finder helps most of the time.

A few weeks ago, my work Mac went through a phase of being convinced my home folder was a calculator. :)
