ICY BOX NAS 4220b and 10.6

I have an icy box nas 4220 b that i want to use as backup for my pc and macbook pro which is running the latest snow leopard update. When i drag something to a folder on the NAS drive i get an error code - 36. Does anyone know what this means? it works fine in windows 7.
