:p What is the one talent or skill you've always wanted to have that you never quite got the hang of or never made the effort or time to attempt?

I wish I'd pursued my interest in percussion when I was younger. I have always been a tapper...any available surface, any time. I have a couple of sets of bongo drums, several drum/rhythm console games, and, after listening to me prattle on for the past 15 years, my wife recently got me a conga to beat on. The drunker you get, the better I sound.;)

You?

Competetive shooting.

the only reason I stopped was that my vision went.
Now I am considered legally blind. and no surgery can fix my eyes.
Cost me my military career too.

But honestly I wish I spent more time horseback riding especially dressage...

also playing the flute, clarinet and guitar I have giving up on a few years back and now I want to play again...

.......if I could play the guitar. Ah yes......the gee-tar. To my credit, I have made an effort recently. My friend leaves his guitar at the lab, and I practice playing every day over the past 4 weeks.

I've learned essentially the entire intro to Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters", and have been working on Ben Harper's "Another Lonely Day" by myself using tabs. :)

It's never too late to start something... but I think I've been saying that a little too much. And for my soul? I don't think that's wise. Besides that, I would probaby like to learn how to play music. Everything, probably piano. I was never pushed into music by the rents, but I kinda wish they had.

Never would sell my soul.

But being older and wiser now, I would have saved up more money in my youth and started to do world travel earlier than this past year at 47yo!

Yeah i'm not big on the soul-selling idea but I would love to travel more.

Can I answer this question by asking for the skill of flight? None of that airplane crud, but jumping off my front lawn and flapping my arms to get into the air.

If that doesn't count, I'd LOVE to know another language, but... I'm just not good with languages. I'd also like to be crazygood at math.

At least that last one is somewhat attainable...
*pricks finger*
alright, I can sign a contract in blood. Who wants it? I'll throw in my sense of decency, too! Everything about me must go!

Now that would be pretty cool. I think that I would probably want to do the same. :)

Ooh, "bluelight" special on katie on aisle #5. ;) :D

Well, given that I don't believe in a soul, I am giving up very little for whatever I want? Then I would love the powers of telekinesis, since by being able to move things with your mind, you would be able to move yourself, and therefore would have the powers of flight AND telekinesis.

Greatest feeling I ever had in travel was being in Reykjavik and London this past February. Friends have asked me what I enjoyed most about that trip.

Sort of sad/funny is that in Reykjavik it was the realization that I was touching down on the 20th anniversary year of the Summit Conference, which was my finding a desire to visit Iceland.

And in London the greatest moment (other than exiting the Westminster tube station and being under Big Ben), was standing next to the London Wall looking at the Tower of London across the highway (the spot with the statue of Caesar - picture attached). Being able see and nearly touch such history was just beyond description for me a history buff.

I will be a pain at every port of entry in the coming years. For I want my passport stamped, even if it is not required. Doing a Western Caribean cruise this October, so watch out! :D

I'd sell my soul to be able to learn and thuroughly understand every book I merely touched. I would walk through libraries and universities with my arms outstretched, touching every book possible.

That would be a cool ability. :)

That'll be awesome, I really want to get down there sometime. I'm leaving for Thailand on Monday for two weeks and when I get back, I want to take a road trip and see the parts of Route 66 that are left. (I just saw Cars and it made me want to go :D )

I'd sell my soul...

...in exchange for true enlightenment.
(Hmm, I think there are at least two inherent contradictions in that sentiment.... ;) )

I'd sell my soul in order to become omnipotent (note: omnipotent, not impotent, loser punsters). Then I could just take it back. And I'd still be omnipotent.

On that note I'd sell my soul for a wish.

Then wish for unlimited wishes.

Then wish my soul back.

:D

Ya, being omnipotent could have it's advantages. :D
