whats the best and easy to use ID3 tag editor?

This might be a bit obvious, but have you tried iTunes? Or are you looking for a more powerful tag editor to suit you?

i need to edit 100s of songs as fast as possible. or can you already do that in itunes

You can. Just select your hundreds of songs, put in what you want them all to have in common (e.g. all the same artist, gapless, genre). Press OK and you're done!
