I've been reading a lot about people having both an SSD and HDD onboard the MBPs using the Optibay, and I'm very intrigued. From what I gather, most people are running Mac OS-X and all their applications off the SSD, and storing all their music, movies, photos and other content on a 500GB or 1TB HDD.
My question is this: If you're only going to use the SSD for the OS and other applications, is there any real need to get anything larger than 80GB? Are there any other things that might be worth putting on the SSD rather than the HDD?
As a designer, I spend a lot of time in photoshop during the day. Would it be better to set the scratch disk to the SSD or HDD?
