ideas for an old laptop....:)

okay so i dont know if this is the right section to post this in but i thought it was the most fitting one and plz dont flame

anyways i am really bord and have an old HP pavilion ze5170 that was given to me for free. its got low specs and a cracked screen. it is set up in my room with an external display. its got windows xp installed on it.

and i wanted to know if anyone has any ideas for something useful i could do with it....anything!!! i really don't care what, just looking for a way to put it to good use (other than a paper weight, fire fuel, or things similar, lol)

Does it have WiFi? If so, use it as an iTunes or media server, plugged into a TV. Or a print server. Or a file server in general.

If it doesn't have WiFi... buy a BB gun and use it for target practice?

Maybe install some Linux distro, play around? Hack OS X on to it(could be a fun project)...get Android(yes, linux, but I thought it warranted a comment on its own.) up and running?(I know they did it on EEE PC, not sure if its possible on you're laptop)

tired linux- and didnt know what to do after i installed it, lol

tired hack OS X- i wanted this so bad, but last time i checked my comp wasnt compatible
