Is there a way for me to figure who manufactured the display in my iPhone 5 (Japan Display, Sharp, LG)?

I would like to know too, wondering if there is a correlation between screen maunfacturers and the yellow tint issue, anyone care to chime in?

very important question for me, I will only buy the LG version.
So far there is no way to know which, or request a certain version from Apple.

I'm also interested in determining the screen manufacturer. I want nothing to do with LG EVER AGAIN after replacing so many (8) rMBPs due to IR issues, yellow tints, and backlight bleeding. If I had the choice to select one of the three, I would probably go for Sharp since they seem to produce quality products and they introduced the IGZO displays which I'm looking forward to.

I'm hoping for anything but LG. My iPad 2 had the LG light bleed issue.

My iPhone 5's screen is great and I'm just wondering which screen I've ended up with.

Open it up and look at the back of the display ;)

Pretty sure you might of been kidding...were you? jk Anyways figured I'd post this before people start tearing into their iP5's (unlikely I know). According to ifixit's iPhone 5 teardown the rear of the display is shown in step 7. Anybody see any visible markings/numbers?

I really prefer the new Sharp Renesas LCD technology ... its much whiter and brighter ... have my HTC One using it and its really the perfect white ... even whiter than my already whiter Iphone ... :p

Really?

If it works, it works, I sincerely doubt there is that much of a difference between the screens.

Unlike the old MBA SSD's

I would rather have slower ssd than lower contrast panel. My 4s was much worse than 4. Ip5 panel is great. If my new 5s panel is worse, than iphone will go back to apple
