Soo I went on holiday and took the iPhone 14 Pro in the sea to take pics of the coral and fishies

Instead ended up with this dude instead.. there ya go! šŸ˜‚


Yes I know.. the phone's not waterproof. So now, basically the speaker is real tinny and buzzy.

Is it fixable of am I SOL??

Rinse with fresh water ASAP, shake out excess water, play a song with really heavy bass (technique built into watch for get water out). Hope for the best.

Will keep that in mind.. unfortunately this was in Feb šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø. Maybe Apple can replace the speaker.....

since it is 5 months since you took it into the water, there is (I assume) no other damage, so the speaker could have longterm issue due to water or not. I'd bring it into an Apple Store and have them check it out ...

And just a suggestion… it’s not often enforced but AC+ doesn’t cover ā€œwillfulā€ damage. I’d just volunteer that it ā€œgot wetā€ without a lot of details 😬
