I see iDisk App has been updated and now it's a universal App. I was hoping Apple would do this.

Download away! :)

The problem is that one still can't upload iWork apps on the iPad to iDisk after making changes. You can, however, read and edit iWork files from iDisk on the iPad.

So you can pull files from iDisk into iWork, but you can't push files from iWork back to iDisk?

Yep. At least for me.

I also see the same issue. It does not allow you to save back to the idisk. It's comical, they obviously do not want you to be able to do this as it sure isn't a difficult thing to achieve. I'll stick with Quickoffice and dropbox. Does exactly what I want, and runs smoother than numbers etc anyways
