Several people have reported that sometime Tuesday morning (August 5th), the local iDisk files are being wiped by MobileMe's sync.

This happened to me, too. Fortunately, I have a back up that's not too old, but this is really disturbing. It seems that the files are alive and well on the MobileMe server (I see them when I log on to www.me.com), but I can't get them to appear on my local iDisk, nor can I download them from the www.me.com site.
A word to the wise -- if you haven't synced since yesterday, do turn off automatic syncing until this issue is resolved. I have no idea how widespread this problem may be, but it's definitely affecting more than just my iDisk.
