I had a moment of scare just now thinking there was gravely wrong with my new Mac Pro's audio jack. Being with PC hardware for most of my life, I had expected the front audio jack to work similarly as the one in the back but when I plugged my headphones in the back there were no response, my heart skipped a beat. For sure It thought it was DOA. In a PC you didn't have to muck around in the settings because they were the same. I guess it's like driving a Ford or Honda all your life and upgrading to a Porsche and you slowly discover all the little nuances of your machine.
