Hi. I have selected a radial gradient background in canvas. However, when I export it to png, the background is transparent. Moreover, I see it as transparent in layers icons. Is there something I am missing. Thanks a lot!

Png files save transparency, so if you do not want your exported image to be transparent, choose the jpg format.

If you prefer having a better quality png export, then what you can do is create a new layer beneath your existing layer(s), drag out a rectangle which extends past the image borders and fill it with white. This way you can also toggle it to be not visible or delete it in future without messing up your earlier work.

Thanks a lot. I was thinking about this as the way out but I did not realize that this was a limitation of the png files.

Your help is appreciated.

Best.

It's not a 'limitation', it's one of the most important features of png files!
