Hi,

So ive used iMovie and iDvd to create a dvd of my sisters wedding, it takes up too much space for a single layer dvd, i bought some dual layer dvd+r dvd's and burn't it to them.

However...

'normal' dvd players that ive tried it on don't seem to be able to play it (xbox360 and ps3 do), now i can play all movies on these other dvd players (movies that say they are dual layer), ive tried 2 different brands (phillips and verbatem) with the same results. Will trying dual layer dvd-r make a difference?

Is there anyway to make it so they can play in the dvd player?

thanks in advanced,

Scott

iDVD does say not all DVD players will play DL DVDs. I would try a different brand of DL DVD. I've only burned a couple of Maxell DLs & they played fine in my older Sony DVD player.

You might also check and see on the vendor's web site if they list the recordable media that they are compatible with and then try and burn to one of those dual layer DVDs. Just a suggestion.
