iDVD Burn Time?

I just used iDVD for the first time to burn a self-contained Quicktime video exported from FCE onto DVD. It took over an hour. Is this normal?

yes, it takes a while...
how long was the movie/was there a theme/how many chapters?

I can't believe I left out that bit of info. The video was over an hour. It doesn't matter if the QT vid is exported as a reference movie instead of self contained, does it?

There was no theme, menu, and it was all one long chapter.

No, it doesn't matter. In order for it to burn a DVD, the video must be re-encoded, this takes time.
