iDVD burnt movie freezes halfway through

Hi guys

I'm new here, and would just like to ask about a problem I am having.

I used Divx Doctor II to convert and .avi file movie to .mov and then used iDVD to rip it to DVD.
Everything seemed to go OK, but when I then watch my movie on my DVD player, it stops and skips and freezes from about halfway through. I have burned the movie three times now and it has happened on each disc - at different points but always about halfway through.

Any tips?

What type of DVD disc did you use? DVD+R or RW may not work when played back on a player hooked to a TV but may play just fine on a computer. Try burning on a -R if possible or test playback on a computer.
