Does anyone here know of goos tutorials, which show how you can make your own IDVD theme/menu?

Also, what's the best way to add english subtitles to my short film?

You'll need DVD Studio Pro if you want to do "real" subtitles.

If it's a short film, you can make 2 different versions, one with the text and one without and put them both on the DVD and have one of your menu choices in iDVD be "Film with subtitles" "Film without subtitles".

Good luck!

Thanks.

I do have DVDStudio Pro at school. Is there a tutorial for adding subtitles?

Also, how about creating my own theme?

Not trying to be a jerk, but seriously, you ought to at least search for your answer before asking.

First hit result on "DVD Studio Pro subtitles": http://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/subtitles_dvdsp_stone.html

Good luck!

As for the custom iDVD theme, someone out there has the knowledge, but I don't. I'm told it's not that difficult since several companies have made their own themes plugin packs.

But by deciding to use DVDStudioPro, you can't very well use iDVD anymore anyway, and you can do anything you want in DVDStudioPro. It can do damn near anything.
