iDVD direct to DVD?

My wife wants me to make a DVD of a game she shot with my camera. I don't want to edit it in Final Cut and DVD studio, and iDVD has the direct to DVD option. It keeps telling me to put in a blank DVD and plug in my camera.

I do all that, and it keeps taking me back to the main screen. I'm on a Mac Pro with a Panasonic camera.

any ideas?
