I've never needed to do much with iDVD, so it's never really given me any problems. Now I have a real project to turn in and I'm stuck.

Here's the situation. I have about 30 video clips that I want to burn to DVD, and fancy is not a requirement. These video clips were recorded on mini DV and sent to iMovie, where they were "shared" as QuickTime video streaming files (they were originally posted on the web). The problem is that even with iDVD set to best quality, ~500 MB of these video files turn into ~12 GB of DVD, which won't fit onto a disk.

Is there any way to transfer file format in QT to reduce size or encode in iDVD in a different format to make these files fit onto a single disk? Any help will be greatly appreciated, and I thank you in advance.
