iDVD - how to set the DVD to start from menu?

Hi,

I've already gotten this wrong so I need to ask before sitting through another DVD creation only for it to be wrong.

I want my DVDs to auto start with the main menu when inserted into a DVD player.

Do I do this by going to the "MAP" in iDVD, clicking on the MAIN MENU, doing a "CMD i", and ticking both "Intro" and "Outro" under the "Background" heading?

In the map in iDVD, click on the first item & press delete. I find this item only gets filled if I've exported to iDVD from iMovie but not if I create a new iDVD project from scratch & drop in my movie fro the Finder.
