iDVD isn't working!

i cant open idvd for some reason. it keeps freezing and i have to force quit it. what can i do? i was also wondering about just deleting it and downloading it again but where can i download it from?

i have tried opening it with an idvd project but it still freezes.

What iDVD version do you use and don't you have the grey Restore DVDs anymore, on which iLife is included?

im not sure what version it is. it should be fairly new. i didnt get it with ilife i got it when i got the snow leopard os to install on my mac, it can with it. i inserted the cd again and looked in the 'opitional installs' but idvd isnt there.
