I had a bit of a problem with idvd ( I cannot remember what version it was but it was an outdated, maybe 4.0) Anyway, I created a music video for a class using Final Cut Express. I exported it to a .dv file. Now I preceded to open up idvd and create the menu and put in the movie. After all that was finished, I inserted a disc and clicked on the burn button. Now, after about 15 minutes later i have my finalized music video on dvd. So, I go home and take a look at the video and see if the dvd works alright. To my surprise, the music video has different music in it then what I edited it to have. I begin to think maybe someone has tampered with my file, so I go back to class the next day and check out the .dv file of the music video that I exported out of Final Cut Express. I notice that the .dv file has the right music in it and it's all synced the way I edited it. After taking note of that, I saw that my friend has the same problem with his video that I exported and burned for him on a different computer using the same version of idvd as the one I work at. We both now precede to have a look at his .dv file and it also has the right music that he edited in. But, both of our dvds which were burned on different computers have different music in them, then the ones we edited in. So, we decided to burn two new dvds on the computers and they worked just fine, with the right music this time being on the dvds. Now the question is this, how did this mistake happen? How could of idvd edited in some music we do not even have on our computers? Does idvd have some kind of weird self-editing system where it looks at your video and then edits it to it's liking?
