Hi,

I have downloaded few english movies through internet. These movies are DVDrip and compatible with quick time player. I wanted to burn them on disk using iDVD but could not do so. I contacted the apple technical support and after such a long problem solving maneuvers over the phone the technical support guy told me that the movies I am trying to burn through iDVD are copyright protected and I cant burn them using iDVD. I was not aware of this and would like to know your opinion and any suggestion for alternate free software that I can download and can use to burn movies on disks. Many thanks.

MAC OS X
Version 10.5.6
processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

Thank you bolen. I have perian, would appreciate if you can further explain it to me how to use it so that downloaded movies can be burned on the disk. When I tried burning movies using iDVD, I was able to see the preview but when I click burn nothing happens. Would like to know if anyone else has similar problems, is it a problem with copyright or something else. Guys any other suggestion? Thanks.

I don't think you'll get many replies from folks on those forums,
basically the forum rules states we're not suppose to encourage members
how to pirate material and members caught doing so will be banned.
