Hello,
I am trying to make a DVD with iDVD on my White MacBook 2.1 GHz, basic model. I opened up iDVD and the first thing it tells me is that I don't have a supported superdrive so I cannot burn movies. How stupid is that? They bundle software that won't even work with my mac? Sorry, I am really frustrated because I was watching a bunch of videos on how to use iDVD and read up on it, and now if I create a DVD I cannot burn it??
2.1 GHz Core 2 Duo
120 GB HDD
1 GB RAM
8x Superdrive
Here is what it says in the overview
MATSHITA CD-RW CW-8221:
Firmware Revision: GA0K
Interconnect: ATAPI
Burn Support: Yes (Apple Shipping Drive)
Cache: 2048 KB
Reads DVD: Yes
CD-Write: -R, -RW
Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, CD-Raw
Media: Insert media and refresh to show available burn speeds
But I was told it had a superdrive from futureshop... I guess not... seeing as it was only 899.99
