iDVD proj to iMovie, how? Possible?

So I've made a slideshow from Keynote (actually power point imported to Keynote) and sent to iDVD to burn the slideshow on to a dvd for play on a dvd player. Worked fine. BUT I'd like to re-import so that I can edit the "movie" and add video to the dvd. Funny thing is iMovie does not recognize the iDVD project. I saved the project as a TS file and no go. Used handbrake to convert the TS file to m4v and still no go. Any ideas?

I suppose I could add video thru Keynote but then I don't think I'd have chapters so that I could shuffle.
