iDVD with external DVD burner

I did a huge scanning job for my boss involving old photo albums. I scanned, cleaned up and color corrected almost 400 photographs. Now, she would like to organize these photos and burn DVD's of relavent photos for each family member. Is there a way, using a Tibook w/ Panther, to do this with an external DVD burner?

Any help would be appreciated.
