The disks that I burn in iDVD6 work fine on computers and newer DVD players, but I can't get them to run on my old DVD/VCR machine, as well as some machines I use at school. Is this a known issue, or am I overlooking something? Thanks for any input.

It's probably your DVD media. Is it a DVD+R or a DVD-R?

DVD-R, as specified for the drive, I believe (G5 iMac ALS)? This happens on all brands of media.

My DVD player does not read home made DVDs. It took years for the player companies to catch up, so you will still find many old players out there that can't handle homemade DVDs.
