I just stumbled across this app: ies4osx (http://www.kronenberg.org/ies4osx/).

Only found a couple of references to it on macrumors. Just wondering how many folks have tried it and what the experience was like.

I'm very close to pulling the trigger and giving it a spin, but want to get some feedback first.

Thx,
GNice

I hope you're asking for some reasons relating to developer needs and not because you actually intend to use IE as your main browser - it most certainly is nowhere near anything close to being suitable for that.

That being said, IE 7 didn't work for me but IE 6 did - good enough to check how IE will render my site and track down the seemingly endless IE-centric problems I need to fix.

It requires X11 be installed on your system:

You hit the nail on the head...I'd like to test my web apps on IE...that's the ONLY reason!!!!

I figured that since a lot of PC users still have IE 6, I'd make sure my site works in that browser and then I imagine it should automatically display correctly in IE 7.
