iEatBrainz doesn't work with Leopard. For those uninformed, iEatBrainz is a program that listens to the first few seconds of your mp3s, matches that to a user-submitted database, and fills in the missing artist/album/etcetc tags for you.

Anyone got any alternatives or fixes?

Hey man, I've been looking for an alternative too. Hopefully a good one come out of this thread. But on another note, using Ieatbrainz, is there a way to set it to only get the album tag? I have all of my songs tagged with the correct title and artist, but i want to fill in the correct album names for all of my songs, any ideas?

I use Albumartthingy:

Adding artwork so you don't have to

Album Art Thingy is the easy way to fill in your iTunes collection's artwork. Just leave it running and every time it spots a tune playing in iTunes that doesn't have album art, it retrieves the art from the internet and adds it to that song, and all other songs from the same album.

New! Now Album Art Thingy fetches lyrics too! This feature's still experimental (which means there are lots of songs it can't currently find lyrics for), but we're working on improving it.

Not talking about artwork.

I haven't been able to do this. If just looking for an album, use the iTunes Music Store as a resource since you already know the artist, title, and how the song goes.

Is there anything out there like this app? Ive just found it read about it thought id love it then found out it wouldnt work!!!

Does anyone know of an application like this?

This is exactly what I need and now that I've found it, it's gone.

Anyone know of anything else?

One.

It opens with iTunes, and I can't see a way to disable that. It's not a huge problem, but when you're not going to be using it, it's annoying to have it open.

You can close it either from the menubar, or the program itself. It would just be nice if there was an option to disable it opening with iTunes, as nine times out of 10, I don't want it open.

two things...

1 Musicbrainz Picard is free and the same as ieatbrainz
2 if you ever need an alternative to something go to alternativeto.net (its how i found musicbrainz in the first place.)

Don't "TuneUp"

I use TuneUp

Worked fine for me so far

TuneUp is a jealous SOB. Download the demo and it grabs onto iTunes with claws. You cannot just delete it. You end up searching the internet to find out how to remove it surgically.:mad: After I finally got rid of that monster I never want to see it again, no matter what wonderful features it comes up with.
