I'd love an application that would clean up the empty memory
on my iPhone and it appears "iErase" would handle the task.

On the other hand it could be puffery and not work at all
(or, is simply unnecessary).

Opinions?

Well you have to ask yourself if this is exactly what you need. iErase looks to do a low level format of all the already-free space on your device, which isn't the same as freeing up memory.
