No one can stop them! Muhahahahaha!!

Seriously, are you going to be the only 3.0 loner to not use MMS? LOL!

Oh man, it's like having an iPhone without 3g/edge/internet, or a phone without service?

Ok, I guess you can use it as a weapon but yeah!

Oh, what will we do! It's not as though there's a free protocol for sending text, pictures, and, dare I say it, FILES out there!

OH.

WAIT.

It's called e-mail.

MMS : '00s :: FAXES : '90s

Screw this nonsensical, outdated tech.

This could be possible, but Apple probably wouldn't agree.
Remember that Apple has a say in this too.
If they charged for the iPhone, and nothing else, then the Dev team would work harder, and all phones would be unlocked.
This would lead to less revenue on Apple's part because of the lost in subsides, so it is doubtful that Apple would agree.

It isn't the end of the world to have an iPhone without service of any sort, as he seems to be equating the lack of so much as MMS as unacceptable.

Definitley, but wouldn't you be better off with an iPod Touch?
Harder to snap, I suppose.
Oh, and bragging rights.

All this speculation is crazy. ATT has not even mentioned MMS yet people are putting words in their mouths. MMS is not extra on any ATT phone so why would it be extra on the iphone, plus it states on their website that sms, text, picture messaging are all in the same plan. Stop the misinformation.

People really need to just chill with this stuff. There is no precedence for AT&T charging iPhone users for MMS. I really don't understand why so many people are worried about it.

I actually have both. I won the iPhone on launch day in aught seven, and I've just never had service with it. I'm planning to get a cheap-o plan from Centennial before they're assimilated by AT&T, but I'll need to act quickly.

LOL!!!

No one is putting words in their mouth...noticed the topic, IF....

IF anything, you have done just that. What it states on the website can be completely different on launch day. Which I am sure you have experience with other grandfather plans that AT&T is notorious on consistently changing! :p

Honestly, when I first got my 3G phone I was a little disappointed they didn't have MMS. But now almost a year later I really don't miss all the BS that goes with them.

Same with video. I JB and have Cycorder and have used it 2-3 times.

The only reason, I currently have to JB is the ability to change themes, icons, etc... but I'm an old guy!

Hmmm.... Email=Free and if At&t were to charge $$ for MMS... it shouldn't be an issue.. just send an email.

Oh, by the way, I've used my iPhone without phone service or data for 1.75 years now.

It isn't the end of the world.

Yeah I can go on having an iPhone without any phone service if I have a phone service with any other carrier. hell, I have a 8525 with no phone and internet service in my drawer, that's been sitting in my drawers for 3 years. Yes, it's not the end of the world.
