Hi, I think I read that if you bought a Mac recently or now, then can get Snow Leopard for $10?

What is the cutoff time and how do you get SL for $10?

You are just buying a new Mac and you are that worried about $20? Give me your PayPal address. I will send you the twenty I just found in my jeans.

Why pay more when you are eligible for a discount? That just doesn't make sense.

I wouldn't. Just thought the question was funny, like the OP would delay the purchase for 20 bucks.

I do have a question though since I have never used the up to date program. Is the disc that is sent to you as part of the program limited to your specific Mac model? If so, I would rather spend the extra $20 for the retail version.

I haven't used it either, but IIRC, the disc last time did require Tiger to be installed. Or maybe that was just the drop-in disc ...
